The "Talking Points"

While we're not going to out the conspirators yet, we might as well show you the old "Talking Points" that they crafted to use in their campaign. These were not culled from the site that decided to use them as a means of fanning grassroots support, but came from the mole inside the conspirators circle. With it, you will know which people, entities, sites, etc. have signed on to their agenda. So, without further ado:

1. The Javits Center was too big for the size of the show.

2. Many vendors expressed to me that they thought fewer MIS personnel came to the New York show. The vendor's interests lie in getting to these "mass" buyers, and that segment of the market wasn't adequately represented in New York.

3. Vendors said they had to send fewer workers due to the overall cost constraints of holding the show in New York. I think the Union charges for setting up and taking down are higher in New York also.

4. Boston is statistically and perceptuallly safer than New York, consequently more people are comfortable with traveling to Boston.

5. Boston is a walking city and provides more historical and cultural resources in a small, accessible area.

6. The cost to hold vendor-sponsored events is lower in Boston

7. The hotels are cheaper for vendors and users.

8. Restaurants and other services (taxis, subway, etc.) are cheaper in Boston.

9. There seems to be a higher number of users and vendors which reside in the general Boston area than in the New York city area.

I hope you will consider some of these points when you consider which city to recommend for summer Macworld.
