RFI Subscriber Markup Notices

Introduction:

Check this page for markup notices to RFI subscribers. This page will have to suffice for posting subscriber markup notices until we finish the site redesign. While it's not totally private, it's better than placing them on the Apple Recon main page and getting everyone who stops by all hot and bothered.

20 Oct 97:

• Contrary to rumors circulating, "Men In Multicolor Hue" did not toss a bag over our heads and spirit us off to a sub basement at Infinite Loop for Flutter Box Sessions, nor have they come a calling with a cease and desist order. Plain and simple? We've been too busy keeping you up to date via RFI to post Updates to Apple Recon.

  As you will notice, Apple Recon has a New Banner which is an improvement from the old one. We were going to keep it as a surprise for the new site, but decided to make its debut here.

  And as you can see, we've updated the site, and will try to get pelagius.com populated before All Saints Day.

06 Oct 97:

• "Serendipity Strikes" & "Fantasy" Special Report: By now, all of you should have received your copies of the latest Special Report in pdf format. If you have not, please notify our offices and let us know. We'll retransmit the file.

  And the "Miltonian" (Paradise Lost) Experience RFI had in transmitting those files over the weekend (have you ever seen servers get on their knees, beg, plead and cry? It's not a pretty sight) has only highlighted the need for RFI to get the pealgius.com site up and running ASAP. So, Echo 4 will be taking the time to get those sites up and running, in some form, No Later Than "All Saints Day" (01 Nov 97). We'll keep you posted; as well as sending you your passwords for the private areas; where the Special Reports and Updates will be posted, etc.

• On another front, Morgan is still "Toes Up", but the most recent episode is abating. If it weren't for "PB Jelly", things might have gone a lot quicker, but.....
• As for the follow-up to "CHiRP, CHiRP", after reading the last page of the Serendipity &tc. Report, you'll know why we were chuckling all weekend and even on Friday. So much for Mac OS ROMs being needed.
• Lastly. We'll get back into the cycle of updating Apple Recon now that the Special Report has been put to bed and distributed. As always, we'll keep you posted.

  11 Sep 97:

  • We're working on the "Fantasy" Special Report and hopefully we will be able to get it out before 19 Sep 97. We'll keep you posted.
  • RFI hopes to have the initial "Front door" to the new domain up for Monday but it will be "minimalist" at first.

  02 Sep 97:

  • Important Announcement
  • RFI's new domain name is "live". Site Movement and Redesign Will Proceed. Subscribers will be notified via e-mail once the site is up as well as their information, etc. While it won't be the "first week of September", it should be done by the last week of September. And, it will mean that all Special Reports, Updates, etc. will be available via the site for authorized users.
  • Apple Recon will also be part of this move.
  • We'll keep you posted.

    • RFI's Weekly Update Will Be Transmitted Either Late Tonight or Before Tomorrow's Open.

      28 Aug 97:

      • Licensing Report Sent Out
      • Metrowerks to Report Earnings After The Closing Bell. Conference Call Slated for 4:00PM CDT.
      • Metrowerks Data To Be Posted This Evening.
      • Great Week to Be in Monserrat, No? Told You So...

      26 Aug 97:

      "Licensing" Special Report: After the recent developments mentioned in the RFI Update for 26 Aug 97, we have to rework some sections of the Licensing Special Report and we will try to have it to you NLT 27 Aug 97.
